What To Expect

Do I need to be in shape?

No. BJJ will get you in shape—safely and progressively.

Am I too old to start?

Not at all. We have members from their 20s to 60s+ starting fresh.

Will I spar on day one?

Only if you want. Basics first, then we build from there.

What do I wear?

Athletic clothes are fine to start; we’ll help you with gi options.

Do I have to compete?

Not at all. It is only if you want to challenge yourself.
